A home over three
centuries old, was recently put on the market in Framingham,
Massachusetts for $979,000. The home had previously belonged to Sarah
Clayes, who was incarcerated and accused of witchcraft during the
infamous Salem Witch Trials of the late 1600’s
Clayes was jailed in
1962 and she was held for over a year until the panic over witchcraft
ended. After the ordeal her and her husband relocated to the area
that would become Framingham. Where the home was built and remains.
The home was
abandoned in 2000 after the owners at that time faced foreclosure.
Since then it fell into a state of disrepair and dilapidation,
getting routinely vandalized. The home has been completely renovated
with modern fixtures and the amenities.
